Gregg Sengstack
Gregg C. Sengstack is a member of the Board of Directors at Allegion.
Gregg’s professional career spans more than 30 years and includes extensive experience in public company executive leadership, international market development, general management, M&A strategy and execution, P&L leadership and finance.
Gregg currently serves as executive chairperson of Franklin Electric Co., Inc., a global leader in the production and marketing of systems and components for the movement of water and energy. He was elected chairperson in 2015, while serving as chief executive officer (CEO) from 2014 to 2024. As CEO, Gregg led a strategic transformation at Franklin Electric, which included the rapid expansion of the company’s energy systems business, forward integration into distribution in the U.S., portfolio extensions into the adjacent water treatment market and the introduction of connected solutions across a range of the company’s products. He also led numerous acquisitions in the U.S. and abroad.
Gregg joined Franklin Electric in 1988 as assistant treasurer, later becoming chief financial officer (CFO) in 1999. Following a successful tenure as CFO, he held the roles of senior vice president and president of Franklin Fueling Systems and International Water Group, and then president and chief operating officer (COO) of Franklin Electric before becoming CEO.
Gregg earned his bachelor’s degree at Bucknell University and his MBA at the University of Chicago.
Gregg additionally serves on the board of Woodward Inc., a global leader in the design, manufacture and service of energy conversion and control solutions for aerospace and industrial equipment.
