Creating a Safer, More Accessible World

Where we live

Schlage and Zentra

In 2025, Allegion continued to demonstrate our leadership in home and community security by embracing a mobile-first strategy for modern multifamily access control. We are transforming the multifamily living experience by delivering a seamless, secure perimeter-to-unit journey. The full integration of the Schlage® XE360™ Series with the Zentra™ platform allows property managers to manage high-traffic communities via the cloud while providing residents with a premium experience. Zentra became the first in the industry to offer resident key capability in Google Wallet™, allowing users to unlock doors with a simple tap of an Android phone or a Wear OS™ by Google smartwatch, alongside the capability that was already in place for Apple phones and watches.

Schlage introduced our first push-button keypad deadbolt equipped with built-in Wi-Fi, the Schlage Arrive™ Smart Wi-Fi Deadbolt. Offering effortless code entry and easy integration with existing smart home technology, it connects directly to the home Wi-Fi network without the need for additional accessories, allowing homeowners to manage access remotely through the latest update to the Schlage Home app. Within the app, users can conveniently manage up to 250 access codes for keyless entry, track lock history and receive customized push notifications.

Gainsborough Freestyle

In May 2025, Allegion Australia enhanced the Gainsborough Freestyle Smart Wi-Fi Trilock by releasing an over-the-air update to enable Matter over Thread, technology that allows smart devices to communicate directly with one another, enabling cross-brand compatibility across smart home devices, voice assistants, mobile apps and cloud services

Where we learn

In 2025, Allegion advanced the accessibility, compliance and future-readiness of learning environments. In March, we announced a strategic alliance with Atrium Campus, a company renowned for its cloud-native campus card solutions for higher education.

Allegion and Atrium team up

Allegion and Atrium have since upgraded Southern New Hampshire University to mobile-enabled Schlage readers and worked with the University of Virginia to update their Schlage readers and AD-Series locks — making student ID in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet available to their entire student body, faculty and staff.  In addition, we are in a multi-year project with Ohio State University to modernize thousands of doors to support mobile student IDs while preserving existing Schlage access control hardware.

Allegion, alongside our longstanding partner Illumia (formerly Transact + CBORD), launched the Try Me Program in North America, offering universities a simple, risk-free way to explore credential-based campus access. Allegion’s solutions integrate with existing systems to deliver real-time connectivity, centralized management and the scalability that today's institutions demand.

In the K-12 education space, our experts and thought leaders continue to advocate for a systems-based approach to planning school security, along with the integration of electronic access control systems into school security infrastructure, allowing schools to respond quickly and confidently during critical moments. Allegion is poised to support the adoption of wearable and mobile credentials in K-12 settings, integrating systems like remote lockdown capabilities and real-time alerts for doors left open. The latest addition to the Schlage® L Series, Motorized Latch Retraction mortise locks, are Grade 1 locks that provide a more secure and aesthetically pleasing alternative to traditional electric strikes, offering the rugged dependability required for high-traffic school settings. The lock is a multicategory winner in the 2025 Secure Campus Awards by the industry publication Campus Security Today.

Where we work

Allegion is committed to providing security, convenience and quality for business owners and customers. Our plano business continued to be a leader in workforce management solutions. The new plano 2025.2 release brought targeted improvements in stability, functionality and usability. In addition to technical optimizations, the version also includes functional enhancements and adjustments that simplify installation and maintenance.

Schlage announced the Performance Series™ lock family — including the PM Series mortise, PC Series cylindrical and PT Series tubular locks. With the increase of construction and operational costs, this Series helps balance style, security and simplicity for commercial real estate and multifamily projects facing tight budgets and high expectations. This portfolio expansion helps customers match the right product to the right performance need and application — without sacrificing the quality you expect from Schlage.

Zero Everyday - Where practical meets performance

Zero International introduced the newest addition to their sealing solutions lineup: Zero Everyday™. To make product selection easier and more intuitive, Zero organized its portfolio into two distinct series: Zero Preferred™ and Zero Everyday™. These categories are based on application type, durability and price point — helping users quickly find the right solution for their project.

Allegion Ventures expanded its portfolio with a strategic investment in Asylon, Inc., a leader in robotic perimeter security. Asylon’s integration of autonomous drones, ground robotics and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven command software modernizes security for critical infrastructure and defense installations.

Where and how we connect

Allegion prioritized interoperability and the growth of our portfolio in 2025 with software and services that enhance and differentiate our core hardware offerings in security and access environments. Our strategic partnership with Brivo, a leader in cloud-native unified physical security and smart building technologies, is enabling a Connected Openings solution that includes our Schlage XE360 wireless lock with Real-Time Wi-Fi Flex module.

SimonsVoss announced a partnership and wireless lock integration with Verkada, a company whose platform controls access for more than 3.7 million users and 1.5 million visitors per month. The integration with the SimonsVoss SmartIntego wireless locks makes it even easier for European organizations to adopt the enterprise-scale access control solution without the need for rewiring.

We continued to build on our strengths while addressing a broader set of customer needs through our mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The strategic addition of Gatewise — a software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider specializing in modern and retrofit-friendly gate entry systems for multifamily communities — allowed us to align their solutions to Allegion’s electronic locks and Zentra multifamily property access solution, delivering enhanced perimeter security alongside unit and common area access control.

We hosted the inaugural Allegion Developer Conference (ADC) in Denver, Colorado, bringing together physical access control systems (PACS) and property technology partners for an in-depth look at our Yonomi Platform, Allegion’s cloud-based connectivity platform that provides a standardized interface for future connected devices from Allegion’s brands, globally. We also examined transformative power of Aliro, an industry standardized mobile credential and device-to-reader protocol designed to revolutionize the user experience. Our global platforms, alongside industry protocols and partnerships, are opening new opportunities to make the world both safer and more accessible in the future.
