The award is based on technical expertise and is reserved for consultants with more than 10 years as a contributing member to the DHI organization. It also acknowledges those who have demonstrated a high degree of technical excellence and standards of performance as an active DHI consultant, as well as contributed to the improvement and advancements of the door hardware industry.

Greene has more than 30 years of door hardware industry experience, focusing largely on support and education around code requirements around the doorway. In 2009, Lori created ‘iDigHardware.com’, a door hardware, code-specific blog, in which she shares her expertise and answers questions across various code-related topics. Since its creation, it has generated close to two million page views and garnered nearly 500,000 visitors.
Over the years, industry experts have come to rely on Lori for her in-depth technical articles combined with photographs of humorous real-world installations. Her blog has become the ‘go to’ site for learning and interaction for those in and out of the industry, according to Lisa Goodwin Robbins, RA, CCS, LEED ap, and Lee Johnson, AIA, CSI, LEED ap, of Kalin Associates Inc.
